Good Night

Posted by Karla on September 30, 2005

I mean good night two ways
1) It was a good night.
2) Good night as in, going to bed.

Joel took Dylan to see the high school football game tonight. Of course Dylan ran into some friends. He’s a lot more popular than I ever was, even in elementary school. He gets more phone calls now than I do.

Maddie and I played toys and had a snack and then I put her to bed. She kept getting up. The first time was because I forgot to turn on her fan. The second time was because she decided to sleep with her dolly and wanted me to know this. Earlier in the evening she threw her on the floor and said “No Dolly.” So whatever she’s done, she’s apparently forgiven her for and needed me to know this.

I went up to say goodnight to Dylan and he’s laying in bed in just his boxer shorts.

I said “You’re gonna freeze tonight.”
Dylan says “Nah, I’ll be warm enough.”
I said “Okay, whatever you say.”

I went back to peek in on him and not only is he wearing PJ’s but warm fuzzy ones. LMAO Mama is always right. Lesson for life.

    Silence

Posted by Karla on September 30, 2005

Maddie is asleep. I like it. SHHH. Type very quietly.

All in all its been a great day so far. We played house and watched Blues Clues. We made cupcakes and made the goodie bags for the party. Maddie even helped. Kevon called and asked if I could come pick him up in Silverdale so we did that and he took us to lunch at McDonalds.

She went poo in her diaper and it was a messy one, she had it in every crevice. I was cleaning her up and she was anxious to get up and go and I said “Hold on Maddie, you got some poo poo in your pee pee.” She started giggling, and then I started giggling. Then she was walking around saying “poo-poo in my pee-pee.” LMAO See what I teach my daughter when I stay home from work?

    TGIF

Posted by Karla on September 30, 2005

I’d be more excited about Friday if I was working today. I am happy to be home except for the fact that Maddie is crawling up my leg every 2 seconds. I have a million things to do today to get ready for the party tomorrow not to mention clean the house and do laundry.

She slept almost all night last night. She only woke up at 4:45. Dylan woke up about the same time because of a nightmare.

Last night we had his favorite dinner, stuffed peppers. Barf. I hate that dinner. I had a salad instead. Maddie loved it of course. She’ll eat anything though. Dylan liked it so much he finished Maddie’s plate and that is the kid who won’t touch anyone elses food.

We gave him our gifts after dinner. We got him the Revenge of the Sith Game Boy Game, a shirt that says “Battitude”, a star wars figure and Maddie got him a monster truck.

Grandma and Grandpa came over and gave him a Joker Doll and the BatCave. Took the guys about an hour to put it together. Its about 42″ tall.

Kevon and Meghan stopped by and brought him two presents: a darth vader doll and a marvel legends doll. He was so thrilled. Then we had banana cream pie and chocolate peanut butter pie. It was so good.

Later after everyone left and the kids went to bed Joel and I watched Survivor and CSI. Joel brought me another piece of banana cream pie and as I was about to take a bite a girl on CSI threw up and it looked just like banana cream pie. I suddenly lost my appetite and I almost lost my dinner too. ACK

I’d like to wish a very very happy birthday to my dear friend Scar. I love ya girl, I hope you have a special day. I wish I could give you a birthday hug.

    Friday Four

Posted by Karla on September 30, 2005

    As seen in THIS BLOG

    FOUR FOR FRIDAY

Q1: If you were given the opportunity to use a syringe full of sodium pentothal (truth serum) on any two or three people in the world (they can be either dead or alive, by the way), who would you choose to use it on and what questions do you think you might ask?

Q2: Do you have a favorite childhood memory (by childhood, think ages 3 to 18-years-old)? If you don’t or would rather not share it, what was your favorite part of yesterday?

Q3: If an impending natural disaster was forecasted for your town or geographical region, how confident would you be in your own ability to evacuate to a safe location? Along the same lines, how confident are you in your own city or town’s evacuation plan and capabilities?

Q4: When was the last time you spent en entire morning or afternoon (4 hours or more) exclusively out-of-doors, and what was it that you did during that period of time?
